Southeast Iowa man dies in motorcycle accident

June 19, 2009 By admin

A southeast Iowa man was killed Thursday night when his motorcycle collided with a pickup truck. The crash occurred at 8:40 p.m. on Libertyville Road, just west of Highway 1 in Jefferson County.

The Iowa State Patrol reports that 50-year-old Robert Daley of Fairfield was driving a motorcycle westbound when he crashed into an eastbound pickup.

The pickup, driven by 17-year-old Jordan Bradford of Fairfield, was turning across the westbound lane into a private driveway at the time. Daley was transported to the Jefferson County Hospital where he died from his injuries. Bradford was not injured.
