A Clear Lake man was killed in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of two county roads in Cerro Gordo County. The accident was reported Monday at 1:45 p.m.

The Iowa State Patrol says 74-year-old Richard Tilley was westbound on County Road B-35 when he went around two pickup trucks and collided with a vehicle driven by 57-year-old Carol Shirk of Forest City, who was eastbound on B-35.

Tilley was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, while Shirk was taken to Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa. Shirk was listed in stable condition. The accident remains under investigation.
