A Waterloo woman ended up a big winner on Tuesday’s episode of "The Price is Right." Kathy Smith was ordered to "come on down" while attending a taping of the CBS game show in Burbank, California two weeks ago. She had to keep quiet about what she won until after the program aired Tuesday.

"I won an iPhone with a year subscription," Smith told Radio Iowa. "I won a trip to a trip to Las Vegas, a trip to Australia and a trip to (Kenya)." Smith screamed and ran to the stage when she placed the closest bid on her second try. She lost a game called "Switch," but ended up in the Showcase Showdown, the final segment of the game show. Smith said she wanted to underbid on her showcase that included the iPhone and the three trips.

Smith underbid her showcase by more than  $8,000, but her opponent overbid her showcase – making Smith the winner. The 50-year-old Smith is a teacher’s associate at the Northeast Iowa Juvenile Detention Center in Waterloo. She made the trip to Los Angeles with a co-worker, Deb Whitesell, who landed the tickets to "The Price is Right."
