A northwest Iowa man drowned in a tanker filled with a liquid egg product at the Rembrandt Enterprises plant on Friday night. J
The body of 24-year-old Israel Garduno Gonzalez of Alta was found inside a semi trailer tanker being loaded with liquid egg product at the plant near Rembrandt in Buena Vista County. He was pronounced dead at the scene by the County Medical Examiners Office.
Sheriff Gary Launderville says preliminary investigation indicates Gonzalez may have been working on top of the semi and accidentally fell into the tanker. Results of an autopsy from the state medical examiner are pending.
