Southern Iowa woman shot to death

July 13, 2009 By admin

A southern Iowa woman was reportedly shot to death over the weekend at her home near Centerville.

A 911 call early Sunday brought Appanoose County Sheriff’s deputies to the home of 56-year-old Doretta Glascock in rural Cincinnati, just north of the Iowa/Missouri border.

Reports say she’d been shot several times and was dead. Also at the home, deputies found the woman’s estranged husband, 66-year-old Jackie Glascock, Senior. He’d also been shot more than once and was critically wounded.

Mr. Glascock was flown to an Iowa City hospital. No condition report is being released. No charges have been filed.

Reports indicate it was a domestic case. The woman got a protective order issued late last month.
