Northwest Iowa man accused of having sex with minor

July 15, 2009 By admin

A northwest Iowa man has been accused of having sex with a 15-year-old girl.

Twenty-two-year-old David S. Gibson of Boyden has been charged with third degree sexual abuse for allegedly having sexual relations with a 15-year-old girl in Boyden.

The Sioux County Sheriff’s office arrested Gibson last week following an investigation of an incident that allegedly occurred in March. The victim was an acquaintance of Gibson. Gibson is being held in the Sioux County Jail on a five-thousand-dollar bond.

A preliminary hearing has been set for July 28. If convicted, Gibson faces a maximum sentence to 10 years in prison.
