Severe weather hits with heavy winds, hail

Severe weather pummeled parts of north-central Iowa on Sunday. Wind and hail damage was reported in parts of Hamilton and Webster counties with the heaviest damage reported in Hardin County. Eldora reports windows blown out of storefronts with two people hurt.

Governor Culver issued an emergency disaster declaration for Hardin County due to the storms. In Jewell, winds were clocked at 68 miles an hour, damaging some crops. Elsworth reported one-inch hail. There were scattered power outages.
