Identity of body found in Marshaltown not yet confirmed

August 14, 2009 By admin

Many questions remain after a body was found in a burning car in Marshal County. The Marshal County Sheriff’s office issued a release late Thursday saying there’s been no positive confirmation of the identification of the body, although they believe they know the identity.

The state medical examiner began an autopsy Thursday and D-N-A samples were taken to try and make a positive I.D. Firefighters from Gillman and Marshal County deputies were called to a creek about two miles east of Ferguson Wednesday morning on the report of a mini-van on fire. They found the body inside.
