The Iowa State Cyclones host Baylor in their annual homecoming contest. The Cyclones have lost two straight games and coach Paul Rhoads wants to see improvement from the defense. It begins with a better pass rush. Rhoad says they are not capable of putting on a lot of pressure because that leaves too many one-on-one matchups in the secondary. He says they have to find a better way of generating pressure with a pass rush.

Rhoads says even though Baylor has lost quarterback Robert Griffin for the season due to a knee injury the Bears still have big play potential. He says they still have several skill players with good speed and he says that is something his team lacks.

Rhoads says the Cyclones need a better pass rush from the defensive line and use their blitzes wisely. He says there are only so many ways you can rush the passer with four people, so they have to pick and choose when they do.
