Tickets available for Hawkeye bowl game

December 7, 2009 By Todd Kimm

The Hawkeyes drew a huge following to the Orange Bowl in their last appearance and officials expect another large turnout. U of I ticket manager Pam Finke says the school has an initial allotment of 17 ,500 tickets and about 14,000 were  pre-ordered by season ticket holders.

Finke says they do have tickets through their office and she says if they run out of their allottment, they can get more tickets. Iowa athletic director Gary Barta says the general public may begin ordering tickets this morning. Barta says there will still be some left and then the bowl will work to get more. He expects to reach the minimum number of tickets at 17,500, and then can get more.

Finke says there are two different ways to order tickets beginning at nine A.M. You can all 1-800-IA-HAWKS, or go on-line.
