Roof collapses, trapping animals at Sioux City store

January 7, 2010 By Radio Iowa Contributor

Rescue operations are underway at a large pet store in northwest Iowa. Early this morning, heavy snow caused a roof to collapse at the PetSmart in Sioux City.

No one was inside at the time of the collapse but several animals were in the store. Firefighters have launched a rescue operation. There’s no word on whether any animals were hurt or killed.
