Drake looks to continue MVC win streak

January 20, 2010 By Todd Kimm

The Drake Bulldogs look for their fourth straight victory when they visit Evansville. After an 0-4 start to the Valley race the Bulldogs are now 3-4.

Drake coach Mark Phelps says they have been trying to stay consistent in their work ethic and emotion. He says that is tough when you are not winning, but the team has not done that. He expects a tough matchup even though the Aces have not won a conference game. Phelps says Evansville has a lot of pride and they will be motivated to play well and win the game.

Evansville coach Marty Simmons says the Bulldogs have made big strides in the past few weeks. Simmons says the whole Drake team is playing with a lot of confidence and they believe in themselves, which he says makes a tough matchup.
