April 9, 2010 By Todd Kimm

The U.N.I. softball team hosts Drake on Saturday to open a Missouri Valley Conference softball series. The Panthers are 6-3 in the Valley after sweeping two games from Bradley on Thursday while the Bulldogs are coming off back-to-back wins over Iowa State.

U.N.I. coach Ryan Jacobs says Drake is playing well now and they have two good pitchers, a right and a left hander that are getting the job done. Drake is 22-10 overall ansd Jacobs says the Bulldogs like to manufacture runs with hit and running and base stealing.
