Investigators are trying to figure out the cause of death this weekend, of two Coon Rapids residents. The Guthrie County Sheriff’s Department says rescue crews from Coon Rapids responded to a residence about five miles southeast of there at around 8:30 p.m. Saturday, after a caller to 9-1-1 indicated a man had fallen into a well, and was unresponsive.

When emergency crews arrived, they found an unresponsive adult male and adult female in the bottom of a well, which was located across the county pavement, to the east of the residence. The well was only six-feet deep. Both victims were removed from the well and taken a hospital in Carroll, where the adult male died.

The female was transported to a hospital in Des Moines, where she died on Sunday. The reason both victims were unresponsive in the well remains undetermined. And, while the names of the victims were not officially released, funeral home notices sent to area media outlets said 36-year old Jamie Eyberg and his 34-year old wife, Ann Eyberg, both of Coon Rapids died over the weekend.

Jamie Eyberg died Saturday, and Ann Eyberg died at a hospital in Des Moines, on Sunday.
