An A.T.V. accident has claimed the life of a teenager and injured a passenger in Monroe County. The accident was reported shortly after 10:30 last night along old Highway 34 near Albia.

Authorities say a four-wheeler driven by 17-year-old Aaron Fisher of Albia enter a ditch and struck a culvert. Fisher and a passenger, 20-year-old Jacob Graham of Albia, were both thrown from the A.T.V.

Fisher died from his injuries at Monroe County Hospital. Graham was taken by helicopter to Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. Graham was listed in critical condition.

It’s the second fatal A.T.V. accident in Iowa this week. Eighteen-year-old Tyler Waldrop of Fort Dodge was killed Monday when his four-wheeler flipped over after hitting a dip on a dirt trail.
