The Iowa State Patrol reports a southwest Iowa man died Friday, when the car he was driving crossed the center line of a road and collided with a semi in Mills County. Officials say 46-year old Bryce Jipsen, of Emerson was traveling east on Highway 34 west of Hastings, when his 1990 Oldsmobile Regency crossed the center line, for reasons unknown, and hit the rear dual wheels of a westbound semi.

Jipsen died at the scene of the crash, which occurred at around 2:15-p.m. The driver of the semi, 65-year old Wilbert Burmeister, of Glenwood was not injured
