Federal prosecutors are expected to release more information later today about charges filed against a northwest Iowa man.

A spokesman for the U.S. Attorney’s office in Cedar Rapids says federal agents arrested 58-year-old David Neve of Rudd. The spokesman could not provide any other details in regards to Neve’s arrest, but online court records show upon serving a search warrant, authorities discovered a number of weapons that were positioned to defend the property. Many were loaded with ammunition.

Authorities also allegedly seized a large amount of methamphetamine as well as more than $100,000 in a pickup truck on the property.

The search started at around 6:30 Wednesday morning, with authorities from the federal, state, and local levels looking in the area of the Rudd cemetery, as well as in buildings and vehicles nearby.
