Man robs Davenport bank, flees on bike

October 1, 2010 By Radio Iowa Contributor

Davenport police are looking for a bank robber on two wheels. It happened Thursday morning at a Bank of the West branch inside a supermarket on the north side. The robber gave a teller a note demanding money.

Then he opened his jacket to reveal the hand grip of a gun tucked into his waistband. The robber got his money, then made a clean, but slow, getaway — on a bicycle. No one was hurt, and there’s no word on how much dough the biker got.
