Bond set for Newton man accused of murdering financee

October 11, 2010 By Dar Danielson

Bond has been set for a Newton man accused of killing his fiancee. Forty-two-year old Jay Dee Mack is charged with first-degree murder in the shooting 43-year-old Angelina Ancer Saturday evening. Police says it appears the couple had an argument, and then Mack went to the garage and returned with a gun and shot Ancer.

Ancer was pronounced dead at the scene. Bond was set at $850,000 for Mack and his next court appearance is scheduled for October 18th. Court records showed not signs of violence on Mack’s past record. He was convicted of O.W.I. in 2007.
