Texas coach hopes to keep momentum against Iowa State

October 19, 2010 By Todd Kimm

Texas coach Mack Brown hopes the momentum the Longhorns gained from a win at Nebraska will carry over into this week’s game with Iowa State. The Longhorns snapped a two game losing skid with a 20-13 victory over the Huskers in Lincoln. Brown says the game allowed them to “get their swagger back” and shows them they can play well. He says they did not have turnovers, something that has been killing them.

Brown says now his team will get to show how it handles success. He says they have a mix of older and younger players and hopefully the younger players are maturing and they can play well now that people are bragging about their victory.

Texas is 4-2 overall, 2-1 in the Big-12.
