Aplington-Parkersburg and Dike face playoff rematch

November 1, 2010 By Radio Iowa Contributor

In class 1A a pair of rivals collide as fourth ranked Aplington-Parkersburg hosts Dike-New Hartford. The Falcons have the home field and coach Alex Pollock hopes it is an advantage. He says it’s one of the better venues in high school football and a great crowd and he thinks the team has a little more confidence when they play at home.

A-P won the regular season matchup between the two and Dike-New Hartford coach Don Betts says the ground game will be a key, again. Betts says both teams were able to run the ball and he hopes they can do that in this game and slow down the A.P. running game.
