In 3A, 8th ranked Waverly-Shell Rock visits ninth ranked Decorah in their second matchup of the season. The Go-Hawks edged the Vikings back in week eight and Decorah coach Bill Post says it has made preparations much easier. He says it made it quicker to get things done in practice.

Waverly-Shell Rock coach Mark Hubbard says there will be no surprises in this game, as you have to execute the stuff you do well and focus on that.

In 2A, ninth ranked West Marshall looks for an eighth straight victory against Bondurant-Farrar. The Bluejays are 7-3 and feature a unique 3-5 defense.

Bondurant-Farrar coach Adam Busch says they went to that defense because they don’t have a lot of size. He says the 3-5-3 defense allows them to bring a lot of pressure and give a different look almost every single down. Busch is concerned about slowing down the West Marshall offense as he says they are extremely quick.

West Marshall running back Dalton Ferch had 285 yards of rushing and five touchdowns in a first round victory over Interstate-35. He say the defense needs to contain Ferch and stop the other weapons that they have.
