Two north-central Iowans were killed in a weekend crash. The Iowa State Patrol investigated a one-car accident in Franklin County near Dows Saturday morning that claimed the lives of two Williams residents. Reportedly a 1992 Mazda driven by 40-year-old James John Unger was traveling eastbound on Balsam Avenue when he lost control of the car.

The vehicle then rolled into a nearby creek. Unger and his passenger, 14-year-old James Andrew Unger, were pronounced dead at the accident scene. The accident remain under investigation.
