Omaha woman dies in Pottawattamie County accident

Authorities have now released the name of the woman who was killed in a single-vehicle crash last night on Interstate 80 in southwestern Iowa’s Pottawattamie County. The Iowa State Patrol reports 68-year-old Estella Marie Neill, of Omaha died in the crash, which occurred at around 6:20 P.M. Tuesday, about a mile west of the Walnut exit.

Neill was was driving her 2006 Honda Civic westbound on I-80, when, for reasons unknown, the car veered onto the north shoulder of the highway. When she over-corrected, Neill’s car entered the north ditch and rolled at least once before coming to rest on its wheels. Neill, who was not wearing a seatbelt, died at the scene of the crash.
