Missing car may be key to suspicious death in Clinton

December 22, 2010 By Radio Iowa Contributor

Clinton Police are releasing few details about an investigation into a suspicious death but are asking for the public’s help in finding a car that may be connected to the case.

Police were sent to a north side address Tuesday afternoon on a welfare check. On arrival, police found a deceased person and stated that the circumstances surrounding the discovery suggest foul play. Police have not released the identity of the victim at this time.

In a statement issued to the news media last night, police says they are looking for a 2003 Olds Alero two-door with Iowa license plate 2-9-2 N-M-D. The car is missing from the north side address.

Anyone with information about the car or the case is encouraged to call the Clinton Police at 563-243-1458.
