UNI on the road in MVC play

January 7, 2011 By Todd Kimm

The U.N.I. Panthers are on the road in Missouri Valley Conference play for a rare Friday night game when they visit Indiana State. The Panthers snapped a two game losing streak with a 12 point win against Evansville this week and coach Ben Jacobsen says it provide a needed boost of confidence.

Jacobsen says they talk about how to handle a win and a loss and says its important to be ready to handle both, but a win gives them a boose going into the next game. The Sycamores are off to a 2-1 start in the Valley race. Jacobsen says they have some young guys who can play.

U.N.I. is 10-5 overall.
