Pregnant woman dies in car accident

January 10, 2011 By Matt Kelley

A pregnant woman was killed and a man injured in a rollover crash in northwest Iowa Sunday morning. The Sac County Sheriff’s office says 33-year-old Angela Rae Evers of Auburn lost control of her car on a rural road just northeast of Auburn.

The car rolled several times and ended up on its top in a ditch – killing Evers and her unborn child. A deer hunter discovered Evers lying in a field at 7:40 a.m. A passenger in the car, 24-year-old Nathan Lee Meister, was injured and flown to a hospital in Des Moines. There’s no word on his condition.
