Cyclones on the road in the Big 12

January 19, 2011 By Todd Kimm

The Iowa State Cyclones are on the road, tonight, in the Big 12 when they visit Oklahoma State. Both teams are 1-2 in the league race and the Cyclones are 14-4 overall after a home win against Baylor. Hoiberg says it’s “extremely difficult” to win on the road and you have to defend your home court.

With the home loss, he says they are now looking to steal a game on the road. The three point shooting of Jamie Vanderbeken has become even more of a weapon during conference play. The senior forward is connecting on better than 54% from behind the arc in his last three games. He says having a 6-11 player that can shoot makes it difficult to defend.
