Another arrest has been made in connection with the murder of a Council Bluffs woman late last week. According to the Council Bluffs Police Department, officers with the Metro Area Fugitive Task Force Wednesday afternoon, arrested 32-year-old Eric Long, a transient, on a charge of first-degree murder.

Long was taken into custody without incident, at an apartment in Council Bluffs. Police say he was questioned and placed under arrest for the January 14th stabbing death of 39-year old-Tammy Rocha. He was also arrested on two outstanding warrants, one of which was issued in Iowa for forgery, the other was out of South Dakota, where he was wanted for a parole violation associated with a previous drug conviction.

Long was being held in the Pottawattamie County Jail. Authorities are still looking for Brian Reeves, who is wanted on a valid warrant for murder in the 1st degree. 22-year-old Lisa A. Reeves and 47-year-old Clarence L. Woolsoncroft, both of Council Bluffs, were arrested over the weekend in connection with Rocha’s death.
