Iowa women ready to go after 8 day layoff

January 20, 2011 By Todd Kimm

The Iowa womens basketball team is in the midst of an eight day layoff. The 18th ranked Hawkeyes return to action on Monday night with a visit to 25th ranked Ohio State.

Iowa coach Lisa Bluder says the lasyoff has been good as classes got started and they can get back into the swing of things. She says the Hawkeyes have used the week to focus on fundamentals. They’ve done a lot of fullcourt scrimaging and working on situations they don’t get to work on while preparing for an opponent.

Iowa is 3-3 in the Big Ten and 15-4 overall.
