A Rudd man is facing up to 20 years in prison in connection with a methamphetamine operation. Fifty-eight-year-old David Neve  was found guilty of conspiracy to distribute meth, distribution of meth, two counts of possession with the intent to deliver meth and possession of firearms in furtherance of drug trafficking crimes.

Neve was accused of selling ice methamphetamine in large quantities from his home from 2008 until his arrest this past September. A complaint filed in U.S. District Court in Cedar Rapids stated that Neve received “ice” in large quantities and sold it in quantities of up to a fourth-pound at a time. The complaint says Neve was known to have guns spread throughout his property for easy access, and that numerous guns and a large amount of ammunition were found when authorities executed a search warrant on September 15.

The complaint also says officers seized a large quantity of “ice” and over $100,000 cash during that raid. Neve faces up to 20 years in prison and up to a $1 million fine when he is sentenced. He remains in federal custody without bond.
