Johnny Moran hit a pair of free throws with five seconds remaining to cap a second half rally as U.N.I. edged Valley leader Missouri State 60-59. It snapped the Bears 19-game home court winning streak and moved the Panthers to within a game of the conference lead.

Moran was fouled while trying to tip in a miss by Marc Sonnen. Coach Ben Jacobson says there were a lot of big plays, but he says overall it was a heck of a team effort and they needed that to pull out the win.

The Panthers trailed for most of the game but rallied to win their seventh straight game. Jacobson says they have a team that has learned in the last month how to stick in together and he says it is fun. He says no matter how the games turn out, they are fighting the whole way.

Anthony James led U.N.I. with 17 points as the Panthers improve to 8-3 in the Valley and 17-6 overall.
