Drake falls to Missouri State

February 16, 2011 By Todd Kimm

Drake went ice cold down the stretch in a loss to Valley co-leader Missouri State. The Bulldogs went nearly 12 minutes without a field goal in the second half in a 60-51 loss.

Drake coach Mark Phelps on his post game show on KRNT in Des Moines says they failed to hit wide open shots and that hurt them. The Bulldogs led by five in the second half before going cold. They were 4 of 24 from three point range, and could not hit the shots in the second half.

Drake s now 6-10 in the Valley and 11-16 overall.
