Anthony James scored 25 points, including six of seven from three point range as U.N.I. snapped a three game losing streak with an 80-70 victory at Bradley.
U.N.I. coach Ben Jacobson says it was a great win and he liked the way the team stuck together and kept working to find a way to win. The Panthers tied a school record by hitting 15 three pointers as they rallied from a five point halftime deficit by scoring 51 points in the second half. He says Bradley tried to defend them better, but his team was able to make the right plays and passes to get open shots.
In all the Panthers attempted 31 shots from behind the arc. Jacobson says they didn’t plan to shoot that many, but the lineup they have on the floor is able to shoot the ball really well.
U.N.I. is now 10-6 in the Valley and 19-9 overall.
