Scott County inmate dies

March 17, 2011 By Radio Iowa Contributor

Jail officials in eastern Iowa’s Scott County are reporting the death of an inmate. A correctional officer found 47-year-old Robert Allen Wulf of Davenport unresponsive in his cell when making security rounds overnight.

Other officers, the jail medical staff and firefighters responded but were unable to resuscitate Wulf. Wulf, who was being held on two counts of sex abuse, had been arrested by Davenport Police and had been in jail since August 14th, 2010. The Scott County Sheriff’s Office and county medical examiner are investigating.
