A fatal fire is under investigation in north-central Iowa. The body of a 50-year-old Eagle Grove woman was discovered Sunday morning following a fire at her home. She is identified as Kay Jessen.
Eagle Grove firemen were called to the home in the 400 block of Southeast Sixth Street shortly before seven o’clock. It took firemen ten minutes to extinguish the fire. The firemen later discovered the body of Jessen inside the residence. The home was declared a total loss with the exact cause undetermined.
