UNI coach likes freshman class

April 4, 2011 By Todd Kimm

With 18 starters coming back expectations will be high for the U.N.I. football team in 2011 but coach Mark Farley says the future is also bright. Farley says the freshman class will have a major impact on the program in the coming years. He says the class is good, but he says how they come together will determine how they look on Saturday afternoons.

Farley says the team has had a good winter in the weight room and getting ready for spring. Farley says the spring is also when leaders emerge on the team. He says the good teams they have had, have been when the leaders emerged in the spring. Farley says the leadership has to be taught in the classroom as much as it has to be taught on the field.

U.N.I.’s spring game is April 29th.
