King and queen of Norway to visit Decorah in October

April 11, 2011 By Radio Iowa Contributor

While many Iowans are closely following plans for the royal wedding in London, a different royal couple is coming to Iowa this fall.

Luther College officials have been notified the king and queen of Norway will visit the Decorah campus in October.

King Harald V and Queen Sonja will visit on October 13th. No specific itinerary has been set for the visit. It will be the 8th time members of the Norwegian royal family have visited Luther College and Decorah, the first since 1999. The college is celebrating its sesquicentennial this year.
