Students who get good grades can get some tuition help at college in eastern Iowa. Ashford University, with its campus in Clinton, has announced the continuance of its Academic Scholarship Program with scholarships for classes beginning this fall.

The scholarship program rewards full-time, on-campus students for excellence in academic achievement and can cover up to 100-percent of a student’s tuition. A student’s grade-point average is the only qualification for these scholarship awards. Ashford University awards scholarships to all students who qualify until the campus has reached enrollment capacity.

Ashford University’s on-campus population grew in fall 2010 with the first year of the academic awards, with 761 full-time students. Nearly half of the 2010 student body is attending on a full-tuition Academic Scholarship and almost 70 percent receive benefits from one of the three scholarships
