Fort Dodge man’s death remains a mystery

April 13, 2011 By Radio Iowa Contributor

It’s still unclear what caused the death of a 70-year-old Fort Dodge man whose body was discovered Monday evening. Police and first responders from the Trinity Regional Medical Center and Fort Dodge Fire Department were called to the parking lot of Community Tavern where the body of Ronald L. Hynes was discovered.

He exhibited no obvious outward signs of trauma. Hynes was transported to Trinity Regional Medical Center for additional evaluation and treatment. He later died of his injuries. The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation is assisting Fort Dodge Police in this matter.
