The Iowa Wesleyan baseball team will play in the NAIA tournament for the first time later this week when they travel to Kingsport, Tennnesse. The Tigers clinched their spot in the field last week by winning the Midwest Collegiate Conference Tournament.

Coach Brett Monaghan says it has been their goal since the first day. The Tigers are seeded fourth in the five team field and the winner will advance to the next round. They’ll play at a single A ballpark against a team from Ohio.

Their opening round game is Thursday morning.
