The Iowa State football team missed out on a bowl game in 2010 but that apparently has not had a big impact at the box office. I.S.U. director of ticket operations Justin Thompson says sales of season tickets have been brisk with the opener now less than two months away.

Thompson says they have several different season ticket packages starting at $175, which he says they are low on. The next step is $225 and then there are the donor-eligible seats at $375.

Thompson says an attractive home schedule always helps spur sales with Texas, Texas A&M, U.N.I. and Iowa all set to play in Ames.

Thompson says single game tickets will not go on sale until the middle of August. The tickets for the Northern Iowa and Iowa games will go on sale August 16th. The remaining games will go on sale in September.

The Cyclones open the season at home on September third against U.N.I.
