A Nebraska man is now jailed on charges he threatened and assaulted Iowa Congressman Leonard Boswell and his family over the weekend.

Authorities say 20-year-old David Dewberry, of Fremont, Nebraska, was arrested Tuesday night in Missouri.

Dewberry faces charges of burglary, assault, going armed with intent and robbery. Dewberry allegedly entered Congressman Boswell’s farmhouse in southern Iowa’s Decatur County on Saturday night. The masked gunman is accused of choking Boswell’s daughter and demanding money.

Boswell heard the screams, found the intruder and wrestled with him until his 22-year-old grandson appeared with a shotgun and the suspect ran off into the cornfield. A BB pistol was recovered.

Boswell cracked a few ribs but no one else was seriously hurt. The suspect, Dewberry, used to leave nearby in Lamoni. Another suspect in the case is jailed, a 19-year-old from Lamoni who allegedly drove the getaway car.
