Iowa Speedway NASCAR race grandstand sold out

July 21, 2011 By Radio Iowa Contributor

The second NASCAR Nationwide Series race at the Iowa Speedway has sold out. The U.S. Cellular 250 is August sixth and track officials says all the grandstand tickets have been sold.

Track designer Rust Wallace says it’s “an unbelievable complete sell out” with over 60,000 people there. Fans may still purchase tickets for temporary seating and the prices range from $55 to $60.

Iowa Speedway President Jerry Jauron believes reasonable pricing helps the track sell out. He says they always have fireworks and a concert and “stuff on stick like the state fair.”
