Pickup sought in connection with fatal Warren County fire found

August 2, 2011 By Dar Danielson

The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation says it has the pickup of a couple sought in connection with a fatal fire in Warren County.  (story)  The D.C.I. says the pickup was recovered Sunday in Kansas City, Missouri.

The fire destroyed a mobile home and an unidentified body was later found inside. Officials are still searching for the owners of the mobile home, 72-year-old Kaidena “Kay” Wood and 79-year-old James “Bill” Wood.

Investigators say they have discovered the Wood couple was last seen at a local auction on Saturday morning. The D-C-I asks that anyone who may’ve seen the pickup in the area, or who may’ve seen the couple to call the Warren County Sheriff, or the Iowa State Patrol.
