Estherville man dies in rollover accident

August 8, 2011 By Radio Iowa Contributor

A northwest Iowa man was killed in a rollover accident early Sunday east of Estherville. Emmet County Sheriff Mike Martens says the accident was reported around 7:10 A.M. on County Road N-32 about a mile and a half north of Highway 9.

Martens says an investigation determined that 28-year-old Todd Murray of Estherville was driving a 2005 Ford pick-up northbound on N-32 when he lost control. The pick-up entered the west ditch, struck a road bed, vaulted the road and continued northbound rolling and came to rest in a farm field.

Murrary was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. Martens says the accident remains under investigation.
