Griswold woman dies in accident

August 9, 2011 By Matt Kelley

One person was killed in a rollover accident this morning just west of the Cass/Pottawattamie County line in southwest Iowa. Pottawattamie County Chief Deputy Jim Matthei identified the victim of the crash as 21-year old Kayleen Amos, of rural Griswold.

Matthei says the woman was traveling north on Contrail Avenue at around 6 A.M. when she lost control of the 2002 Ford F-250 pickup she was driving. The vehicle entered the west ditch and rolled over, coming to rest in a cornfield.

Amos, who was wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene. The accident happened just north of Highway 92.
