Authorities in Grinnell say they’ve ruled out foul play, but haven’t determined the cause of a fatal house fire Friday. Grinnell police say an autopsy has been completed on the badly burned body found in the house, but they have not made a positive identification of the body.

Police do say that the sole resident of the home was Collette Dianne Beach. Police and fire crews were called to the house at six-15 Friday morning and they found the house fully engulfed in flames.

After the flames were extinguished, the body was found. Preliminary autopsy results do not indicate foul play pertaining to the cause and manner of death. Police are waiting for additional test results — including toxicology results — which could take several weeks or months.
