Scott County sees third fatal motorcyle accident

There’s been another fatal motorcycle crash in eastern Iowa’s Scott County. Three cyclists have died in just over a week’s time.

The latest victim is 46-year old Mark Dykes of Davenport. Police say he was traveling at a high rate of speed Sunday when he lost control and crashed at a southwest Davenport intersection. He died of serious head injury Sunday night.

Motorcyclists also died as a result of crashes August 13th in Davenport and August 18th in Buffalo.
