Pitt coach says team needs to improve against Iowa

September 13, 2011 By Todd Kimm

Pitt coach Todd Graham says his team needs to make strides as they prepare for Saturday’s visit to Iowa. The Panthers are 2-0 after a 35-29 win over Maine. Graham says he would have liked them to play a lot better, but the first game was what he thought it would be.

Graham says he likes the potential of his team as he says “we’ve got the makings of a really good football team.” But he says they will be tested and really find out where they are this week.

Pitt’s Ray Graham leads the nation in rushing with 161 yards per game but the offensive line has given up nine sacks in two games. He says they know where they are at and where they are going, as they have to get better up front on the offensive line, and the quarterback has to settle in and they will score points.
